Pedal-Powered Fun at Trust’s First Bike Festival

Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils from six of our Trust schools recently came together for a memorable milestone, our very first Bike Festival, created especially for our youngest riders.
The festival, run in partnership with the brilliant team at Born to Ride, was a celebration of fun, fitness, and two-wheeled adventure. With their expert guidance and infectious enthusiasm, the event was a smooth ride from start to finish.
Before the racing began, the children were treated to a fantastic showcase of the events, demonstrated by some of our older and more experienced riders. Their confidence and skill were not only impressive but also hugely inspiring to the younger participants - showing them just how far they can go with a little practice and a lot of passion!
The children then geared up to take on a series of exciting activities, including:
-
Individual Sprints
-
The Longest Glide
-
Team Relays
-
The Pursuit
From the first pedal push to the final finish line, there was so much excitement and encouragement throughout the whole day. The teamwork, perseverance, and joy on display were truly heartwarming.
Here are the final team results:
1st – Shorne Church of England Primary School
2nd – Sutton-at-Hone Church of England Primary School
3rd – Sedley's Church of England Primary School
4th – Saint George's Church of England School
5th – Horton Kirby Church of England Primary School
6th, 7th & 8th – Stone St Mary's Church of England Primary School (Team A, Team C, and Team B)
A huge congratulations to all the children who took part. Your enthusiasm, courage, and sportsmanship made the event a roaring success.
Thanks again to Born to Ride for making the day possible, and here’s to many more bike-powered adventures in the future!
